Community Health

St. John’s College of Nursing places strong emphasis on community-based nursing education. The college has adopted nearby villages around Veeravanallur to enable students to gain real-world experience in public health delivery.

Activities include health surveys, maternal & child health education, immunization drives, and disease prevention programs.

Students are also posted at Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Urban Health Centres for field training, helping them develop communication skills, leadership, and a strong understanding of rural and urban health systems.

This practical exposure builds social responsibility and readies students to serve as efficient public health nurses and healthcare leaders of tomorrow.
